Attached to this newsletter is a statement for the Eagle Crest Homeowners Association Dues. The annual fee of $330.00 can be mailed to the Post Office Box listed above or given to any Board member. Please submit your payment by March 1st to avoid late fees.Mission Statement
The Eagle Crest Board of Directors will represent the owners within the Eagle Crest Community Association in a professional manner ensuring that our community is perceived as a unique and premier Oak Harbor neighborhood. The affairs will be managed in a way that preserves the harmony of our natural settings while respecting the needs and goals of each owner.Board Meetings
Your Eagle Crest Community Board meets semi-annually. Many items are discussed at these meetings. The minutes are available to everyone. If you have any specific questions, please contact a board member.
Landscaping
For residents of Eagle Crest, please do not discard dog and yard waste over the fences into the common areas. It is illegal to dump waste in the common areas of Eagle Crest. You can properly dispose grass clippings and branches in the city provided green container, by bringing them to Malliard’s on Oak Harbor Road or deliver to the transfer station south of Coupeville.
Do you have Renters?
It is very important for landlords to inform their future tenants of the Covenants, Conditions and restrictions (CC&Rs) governing Eagle Crest. The Board has published an abbreviated version of the CC&Rs. The restrictions listed in this version address amendments that pertain to non homeowners. If you are planning to rent your home, please ask any board member for a copy of this document along with an acknowledgement letter that a copy of the covenants has been issued to the perspective renter. The Board has submitted a copy of the agreement to local property management offices in the Oak Harbor area to help homeowners with this requirement. Ask your property manager if they have this agreement. If not, give them the phone number of any Board member who will be happy to assist them.
Neighborhood Watch
It is in everyone’s best interest to keep our neighborhood safe and crime free. Keeping your post lamp in good working order with lamps lit is a simple way to deter unwanted activity. If you have not been contacted by a team captain for your group of homes, call Herm Eerkes at 675-4742 and he can tell you who is your assigned team captain. If your group does not have a team captain assigned, consider volunteering.Friendly Reminder Notices
Friendly reminder notices have been delivered to residents letting them know if there is a violation to the CC&Rs. Most of you have been very responsive to these notices and have had the issue corrected in a timely manner. Thank you for your assistance.
Our neighbors to the North on Freund Hill have asked that we remind our community that the speed limit is 25 going down the hill. There are small children living on the street and speeding cars have become a safety issue.
